that weekly drawing thing
My old graphic design buddies started a new tumblr for drawing! It's easy and it's open to the public. All you have to do is draw a picture with the weekly given rules and submit it to the site. These are some examples of previous weeks. The first 3 are an example of drawing a "one-horned beast" and the last 3 are of drawing a tree (click to see larger). This week's drawing is an "imaginary deity". Go crazy!

The Lawyer Type

So I just started working on a logo for a client in which I am designing and building his website, business card, letterhead, etc. I've been doing a lot of research on the subject since I know nothing about law firms or attorneys or brass scales or anything, really. Bruce, the lawyer man, was in the Navy so we've gone with this sort of nautical concept. This above, is version one. It may change, it may not depending on if he goes for it or if he hates it. Anyways, the point is, look at these awful logos:
